Hi, I’m slightly confused about the current version of this board regarding the GPS pre amp.
I’ve looked at the schematics in GitHub (https://github.com/circuitdojo/nrf9160-feather) and noticed that the GPS antenna goes directly to the nrf9160. In fact this repository looks quite out of date as V4 was Oct 21.
However in this article https://www.hackster.io/news/designing-the-nrf9160-feather-board-b16922e50a66 the suggestion is that there is GPS pre amp.
Can you clarify what the status is regarding the GPS input?
I’ve got a feather from about six months ago, it works great, but the GPS sensitivity compared to other GPS devices is not great. I’m wondering if this additional pre amp would help if such a board version exists.

Hi Lord-Lucan

The LNA was replaced with a load switch and active GPS antenna configuration before the first release. You’ll need an active GPS antenna to work with all versions of the design.
