Hello. I wasn’t sure the best place to report this, but I’m having problems powering up my nrf9160 feather v4 board from my macbook with a USB C to C cable. I’ve tried a few known good cables and both orientations, but the board will not power up. If I use a C to A adapter on an A to C cable, that will power up the board. I’m wondering if there’s a problem with how the CC1/CC2 pins are hooked up. It looks like the schematic on github was last updated for v2, so I can’t check there, and I don’t have access to most of my usual test equipment right now except a cheap multimeter, but I’m getting 0v between vusb and gnd. My laptop charger and phone charger (both USB C, not A) also refuse to power up the board.
USB C to C not working on v4 board
Nathan you are correct. This version does not have the CC pins connected. (I overlooked it). New version will though. In the meantime you can use an A to C connector.
