I had an nRF9160 Feather registered with Verizon ThingSpace for some time. Recently I removed that Feather and tried to add a new one.

ThingSpace responded that the device is ineligible because “Device/SIM not found in DMD”. I reached out to Verizon support and they confirmed the IMEI wasn’t in their database.

They said “You will need to get the OEM to have this loaded, once it is loaded properly we can attempt the activation again.”

I also tried re-adding the old device and ended up with the same result.

@jaredwolff is reporting the Feather IMEIs to MNOs the responsibility of your manufacturer, or do I need to reach out to Nordic directly to resolve this?

Thanks!

Voxorin can you email me your IMEI(s). I may not be able to add them anymore since I have dropped Verizon support.

jaredwolff I sent the email to support@circuitdojo.com.

I’m curios why you dropped support for Verizon?

I’m just getting back to experimenting with Non-IP Data Delivery (NIDD) and I believe Verizon is the only carrier in the US that has a plan for that.

@Voxorin honestly you’re one of the few customers that use VZW. The “self test” process was a nightmare. The people there were less than helpful. (To put it nicely)

It’s not worth the time and cost to do it again.
