Hello,

I want to power my Feather through the VBUS pin using 3.3V from my existing host board, but I wasn’t sure if this was OK because of the Feather’s internal regulator.

What is the required operating voltage range for the Feather’s VBUS pin?

Thanks!

The TPS62840 is capable of 100% duty-cycle. So I would think it would be fine as long as your host board can handle the higher current transients the modem produces while transmitting/receiving. (I’ve seen up to 750mA spikes). You’d have to do some validation with your design to make sure it performs. Especially at the edge cases if you’re deploying the device outdoors.
