cptel The 3V3 pin is rated for 200mA max output current. What would be the impact to the part/board of a 40ms up to 400mA current draw once an hour? In practice, this works but looking to understand overall part/board lifetime impact - if known.
jaredwolff Very likely you’ll brown out the rail and anything running on it. You’d likely have to test it across all levels of battery voltage to determine if it can handle that 40ms/400mA spike. Modern switching regulators are fairly robust I haven’t seen one blow up in a loooong time from over-current.
