Do you have a sample code for securely download and performing FOTA?

@cptel it’s very application specific (depends on your backend). Most times I’ve used a variant of nrf/samples/cellular/http_update/application_update

I am running into HTTPS connection refused issue using sample code. And I think it may be related to security certificate. I have requested assistance from Nordic through their DevZone. Will update this once I learn more.
fyi… backend is Azure blob storage (for binary file download)

Either you need HTTP access so you do t have to worry about SSL or, you need to load the root certificate that coincides with Azure. This is done with the 9151’s secure key store. They’re addressed by tag number that you choose. You’ll have to make sure you use the same tag when setting up the HTTPS connection.

agreed and i’ve done all of that. I’ve loaded the root cert via modem_key_mgmt_write() and device initiates the HTTPS connection but fails CA.

You may have to get a modem trace to see what’s happening.

One thing I’ve also seen is some HTTPS servers only accept certain ciphers. I would cross compare Azure to the 9151.

I could be wrong but, I seem to remember that Azure does not directly work well. I had a customer switch to using a proxy server in front of it in order to download.
