Zephyr Tools Not Working

I’m attempting to use the Circuit Dojo Zephyr Tools pane in visual studio code and I’m finding it unbearably slow to the point of being unusable. It installs fine, but normally shows only displays a menu miniutes after selecing an option. All the building controls, (Build, build pristine), seem to happen instantly, it’s just project and board selecting. I’m using an M2 Macbook Air with 24GB ram and plenty of storage, and the problem has persisted even after reinstalling everything and restarting my computer. Any help would be great!

That’s odd!

What folder are you using as your VSCode workspace? What other extensions do you have installed?

The extension searches for potential boards and projects recursively, so if you have it open on your home folder, it’s going to be extremely slow.

Documents > Folder > Folder, there’s a bit but very little else in it.

Thanks but that doesn’t really help describe what’s in the folder. I recommend you open up the base folder which matches this layout:

If it’s anything else you’ll get desegregated performance.

Also I don’t recommend having many other Zephyr related extensions installed. I don’t support other extensions that may be causing the issue.

There’s only one .ino sketch in all of the other folders.

I suggest putting the zephyr project in its own folder. Looks like you have a lot going on in there. It helps isolate everything
