NRF9151 A0 vs A1A

Hi Circuit Dojo team,

I purchased an nRF9151 Feather (PASSY-NRF9151-FEATHER) through Digikey. (followed URL from Your product page (https://www.circuitdojo.com/products/nrf9151-feather))

Your product page (https://www.circuitdojo.com/products/nrf9151-feather) advertises the module as nRF9151 LACA A1A, and the Digikey listing I ordered from (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/circuit-dojo/PASSY-NRF9151-FEATHER/26580618) gives no indication otherwise.

However, the module I received is marked nRF9151 LACA A0.

This is a blocker for my application, which requires NTN (non-terrestrial / satellite) operation. Per Nordic’s own NTN documentation, the NTN bands are supported only on nRF9151 LACA A1A silicon — A0 parts do not support NTN and are not slated to be updated. I’ve confirmed this on the hardware: the board flashes and reports the NTN modem firmware correctly, but the modem fails to bring up the NTN radio-access technology (repeated RAT setup failed at boot), consistent with the A0 limitation.

Could you please:

Confirm which silicon revision is currently shipping against this SKU (PASSY-NRF9151-FEATHER)?
Advise how to obtain the A1A version specifically — and how I can verify the revision on receipt?
Let me know the exchange/replacement options for the A0 unit I received, given the listing specifies A1A?

Sorry about that! Our distributor packed some A0A parts and they were unknowingly assembled and distributed to Digikey. If your A0A is unmodified, you can send them back to us for a no cost swap.

Email me with your proof of purchase: jared@circuitdojo.com and we can go from there.

All of our stock in our store is checked and are all A1A going forward. Digikey may not be until the next inventory turn.

I already wondered about that, but the A0A does it in my case as well, no need for exchange.
