I see that Nordic recently released modem firmware version 1.3.0. The AT command reference (v1.7) has some new functionality that I’m interested in using. I couldn’t find anything on their site regarding compatibility of 1.3.0 and the 1.5.0 SDK. If I update the firmware on my feather and it doesn’t work, I’m assuming I can revert back to the 1.2.3 version firmware again?

    kava60 I currently don’t recommend 1.3.0 for two reasons:

    • As of this writing, all nRF9160 Feather boards have the B0 variant (Not the latest B1). While you can use MFW 1.3.0, it will not be supported for production deployments using B0 hardware.
    • You cannot easily downgrade. Nordic recommends you do not downgrade. If you do want to play around you’ll have to keep your device 1.3.0.

    While the features are shiny and nice, there are some gotchas. 😅
