Do I need a TagConnect?

Hi there,

What are the pros/cons/main differences between using the Tag Connect vs normal USB? Or can I get by programming everything with just the MCUBoot bootloader/newtmgr?

Just getting up to speed on docs etc while I wait for my board to arrive and curious though, I’m struggling to understand if I actually need to spend money on Tag Connect or if I’ll be just fine?

If you’d like to debug your code using GDB then you’ll need a tag connect. Using USB should get you to 95%. I honestly don’t debug very much but I know others use it more.

If you do need a debugger, the RPi Debug Probe works great. All you need is a SWD breakout + Tag Connect. (at least for now 😉 )
